In 1978, the Plunk Family had a vision to bring quality landscaping services to serve the Joliet and surrounding area and founded Allied Landscaping, local plant nursery. Recognizing the growing needs of homeowners who wished to delve into gardening, Allied Nursery and Garden was opened in 1992.

Our slogan, “We’re growing for you”, not only refers to our plant stock but also our staff, added product lines, and services. We continue to grow and improve with each season.
We employ both a horticulturist and landscape architect who have over 60 years’ combined experience in the field. Their passion for the industry and all things “green” is exemplified in their knowledgeable and energetic customer service. If its plants you need to learn about, this is the place to learn!
Residential Landscape Installation
Expansion into residential landscape installation was an exciting step for us. Combining our design, plant, and hardscape knowledge together with our experienced and professional landscape crews, brings homeowners visions to life. The result is a landscape they can be proud of and enjoy for years to come.
Our industry continues to evolve and change with new plant selections, product lines, design trends and solutions. Allied Nursery and Garden Center’s staff keeps up to date with the changes through continued education and working with our industry peers. We have been recognized as both Belgard and Unilock authorized contractors, receiving awards for past projects.
Involvement in the Joliet Community
Involvement in the Joliet community has also been a priority for the Plunk family. Allied Nursery and Garden Center has supported many local charities through product and monetary donations. We have also hosted benefits for area organizations here at the garden center. These include: the State of Illinois LaSalle Veterans home, Joliet Pink Heals Chapter, the Will County Humane Society, Team Make a Difference, American Warriors Motorcycle Association, K-9 for Vets, Casa of Will County, and Irish American Society.
